If you don’t like to Ziggy Zaggy and you don’t like to drink mainstream beer, then you should definitely join us at this year’s KW Craftoberfest on October 6th and 7th! We love all things independent, including craft beer.
Our friends at Together We’re Bitter Co-operative Brewing (TWB) have organized this event, bringing in other fellow craft brewers from all across Ontario. Last year we had so much fun on the Friday night sampling all of the beer and meeting the craft masters themselves. Saturday night continued with more festivities and socializing with like-minded enthusiasts while we ran to snatch up our favourite brews during the evening long tap rotation.
This year, the event will be held at the Kitchener Farmers’ Market, the upper level hosting a party with dancing, food and interactive art. The Market vendors will be there with fresh deliciousness, showcasing Kitchener’s vibrant food culture.
From the mouth of TWB:
Craftoberfest is a festival by the people, for the people. We are focused on providing the community with an opportunity to take in local art, local foods, and unique German and harvest-inspired craft beer and cider made by invited partners from across the province. In other words, it’s going to be wacky and delicious.
From the mouth of Insight:
Supporting local, independent companies in the KW Region is a passionate affair we fully embrace. Please email Neil Moser at firstname.lastname@example.org and write him a passionate letter (not that kind, come on people) explaining why you love supporting local, independent companies and you may receive 2 complimentary tickets to Saturday’s Craftoberfest extravaganza!
We will also have a draw on site at Craftoberfest where you can enter to win a pair of handcrafted sunglasses from Hungary made from salvaged vinyl records. The company is called Vinylize and they are one of our most favourite eyewear designers.
