Frame Recommendation

Lindberg 6553 n.o.w. Series in Translucent Pink & Copper

Tiffany is wearing the 6553 n.o.w. Series from Lindberg. This company may have a minimalist product visually, but the amount of craftsmanship and customization involved is vast. The copper temples are made from titanium and this tapered profile (T802) is one of four design options with four sizes for length and a plethora of colours. The temple is attached to the micro-acetate front with a patented Lindberg screwless hinge. There are nine different nosepads options for personalized comfort. These frames are discreet beautiful feathers for your face.

Lens Recommendation

Essilor Single Vision with Crizal Forte UV

Tiffany is primarily a contact lens wearer, but knows that it is important to always have a pair of glasses to give her eyes a break or in case of emergencies. She is using Essilor’s single vision lens. This lens is perfect for nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism corrections; it has the same power over the whole of its surface. The micro-acetate frame front of this Lindberg requires a minimum 1.6 index lens because the lens is grooved to fit the frame and must be resilient to help prevent chipping and cracking. Crizal Forte UV coating is resistant to scratch, glare, dust, static, smudge and is UV protected even though it is clear.

COVID-19 Closure

In response to the recent recommendations of Social distancing for preventing the further transmission of COVID-19, Insight Eye Care will be conducting a closure of our office to all regular patient exams from Tuesday March 17 until it is safe to resume regular operation. We will be monitoring recommendations made by the college of optometrists, local health authorities, and our provincial and federal government during this period of time, and will be posting updates of our planned operations on our website, www.insight-eyecare.ca, to keep you updated as this situation further develops.

As your eye care professionals, we are committed to providing emergency eye care services during this disruption to help reduce the strain on our local hospital emergency departments. If you are experiencing a sudden change in vision, or ocular emergency, please contact us at 519.588.6590, and we will help to advise you of the best course of action, whether that involves scheduling an appointment with one of our on call Optometrists, or if it is a situation that we do recommend visiting the Emergency Department of St. Mary’s General Hospital directly.
