Danish optometrist, Poul-Jørn Lindberg, initially operated an optical with his wife in Århus, Denmark, but became increasingly frustrated with the heavy, bulky frames prevalent in the market. With the help of his son, Henrik Lindberg, an architect, the brand LINDBERG emerged in 1986. The father-son duo brought forth their expertise and shared passion for a better eyewear experience creating a unique blend of design and comfort. The Lindbergs created eyewear that heavily reflected the Danish mindset of minimalism, focusing on the principles of quality, comfort, and innovation. The result continues to be a clean and understated aesthetic with the absence of excessive decorations, screws, rivets, and welds. Only the essentials can be found.

LINDBERG frames are crafted from responsibly sourced, durable, and luxurious materials such as titanium, platinum, gold, buffalo horn, fine wood, and diamonds. This thin strip of titanium is minimalistic, such that frames are exceptionally lightweight. Frames may weigh as little as 3.3g - the equivalent of 3 paper clips! With over three decades of expertise Lindberg has mastered the use of this remarkable material.
