Thank you for being a patient of Insight Eye Care. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and respectful environment for all patients and staff.

Harassment and Abuse

While incidents of this nature are rare, we want to state our policy clearly for all people who visit Insight Eye Care. Words or actions that make others feel threatened or demeaned will not be tolerated and decisive action will be taken to protect patients and staff. No form of harassment will be tolerated in our clinic.

Immediate action will be taken when incidents described below occur. Depending on the severity, you may be asked to leave, the police may be called or you may face dismissal from our practice.

Inappropriate Actions/Inactions:

• Violence (physical attacks or threatening behaviour)

• Intimidation or threats of any kind

• Throwing, damaging property or breaking things

• Unwelcome physical contact

• Failure to observe Insight Eye Care policies

• Refusing to leave the property
  

Inappropriate Words (in person, by phone, or any means of communication):

• Abusive language and yelling (belligerent speech, excessive arguing, swearing or threats of sabotage)

• Disrespectful, demeaning or abusive language/comments

• Remarks, jokes or innuendos that demean, ridicule or offend

• Discriminatory remarks

• Bullying

• Threats 

• Sexual Harassment
