Kirsten grew up in the small town of Milverton, Ontario and, in addition to private practice, has worked as a clinical instructor at the University of Waterloo in the Primary Care and Contact Lens Clinics.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Honours Science from the University of Waterloo, Kirsten completed her education as a Doctor of Optometry with her Master of Science in Vision Science. Her thesis project involved a clinical research study on scleral contact lenses in individuals with keratoconus. She also has teaching experience through clinical lab instruction at UW, and has given lectures to both students and practitioners on contact-lens related topics. When she isn’t in the clinic, Kirsten enjoys running, CrossFit, playing piano, singing, listening to music and spending time with friends and family. Ask her how much she can clean!
